Support of UGC in Saptagandaki Multiple Campus
Saptagandaki is one of the deserving campuses selected in scheme ‘B’ of Second Higher Education Project, and it has already obtained the performance grants as per the given ceiling. The matching grant of the UGC has been utilized by the campus to make procurement of capital goods, purchase of consultancy service and to build up the infrastructure. The major projects that the campus completed under matching grants are the construction of brick-pavement from main gate to second academic building, purchase of 25 KVA silent generator, purchase of books for library, procurement of science lab materials for its newly launched B.Sc. program, purchase of computer and furniture for e-library, construction of attached restrooms in the first academic building, construction of cycle stands, construction of the fourth floor of the first academic block for the purpose of establishing departmental rooms and construction of conference hall on the first floor of the second academic building. Still the campus has plan of construction of a deep boring in campus premises for the purpose of clean drinking water. The campus prides itself on providing all of these physical facilities and quality education by maintaining its conducive academic environment. The fact that is even more remarkable is that the whole infrastructure the campus developed was from the mobilization of resources generated from its internal turnover and grants support. It could be possible due to the good governance, efficiency and transparency of the institution. The credit also goes to the teachers, students, supporting community, University Grants Commission, and renowned social workers Mr. Chitra Lal Serchan, Mrs. Krishna Kumari Gurung and others. Importantly, it could be attributed to the untiring efforts, vision, diligence, morale and commitment of its BOD, chairmen, campus chiefs and other teams in the different time periods of its life span.
