Saptagandaki Multiple Campus (SMC), established in 1988 (2045 BS), is a leading community campus affiliated with Tribhuwan University. It is situated at Bharatpur Metropolitan Ward No 10, Chitwan in the Bagmati Provience of Nepal. We encourage physical well-being through sports and recreation facilities. SMC has been conducting various extra-curricular activities on different occasions for intellectual and physical development of the students. Students of SMC have demonstrated excellent performance in national and district level sports competitions, speech and quiz contests as well as in literary competitions. The campus has its own volleyball court, a new sophisticated basketball court and an indoor table tennis court.
LIBRARY & E-LIBRARY
The three-storied Mrs. Krishna Kumari Gurung Library has a wide collection of course books, reference books, encyclopedias and sufficient number of other necessary books as well as major contemporary newspapers, magazines and journals. A separate e-library equipped with the latest e-resources adjoins the Master’s Degree library on the third floor. Students can utilize it for accessing various learning resources online.
MASS COMMUNICATION LAB
A separate mass communication lab equipped with a radio station and a Television set provides hands-on practice to Journalism students to implement their creative insights.
COMPUTER and Science LABS
The newly set-up computer laboratories for BCA, BIM & M.Ed. Maths are fully equipped with computer hardware and software. We are continually upgrading our IT infrastructure to take advantage of the latest technologies. The lab has 40 computers which are connected to the high-speed internet. SMC has separate labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Environment Science which are fully equipped with all the latest apparatus and tools. The labs-rooms are spacious and contain enough equipment for students to conduct many experiments at the same time
My time at Saptagandaki Multiple Campus was a truly enriching experience. The BCA program provided me with a strong foundation in computer applications, preparing me for a successful career in the IT industry. The faculty members were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. The campus facilities were excellent, and the overall learning environment was conducive to academic growth.
